This was  our Fall 2015  Tour of Bordeaux, Cognac, and the Dordogne.  We had a fantastic time!

Picture
.What a wonderful week of incredible wine, food, Cognac, history and fun in  some of the most storied regions of France:  tasting the extraordinary wines of Bordeaux's Medoc and St Emilion under the guidance of chef, Bordeaux wine educator and  James Beard award winning author Dewey Markham; dining al fresco at St Estephe's Chateau Phelan Segur on the first day of harvest; learning to blend Cognac from House Camus' master blender and bringing home a bottle of our very own proprietary blend home in a gorgeous wooden presentation box; watching a master truffle hunter  search out  black gold, seeing  a truffle cooking demonstration and feasting on a truffle lunch in the heart of the Perigord; viewing the great castles of the Dordogne Valley and touring the chateau owned by Josephine Baker, in her day the most famous entertainer in the world; tasting the delicious wines and brandy of Southwest France rarely seen in American markets; and marveling at some of the oldest cave art in the world in the Vezere Valley at the Museum of  at Lascaux II and at the Font de Gaume cave. What an adventure!

OUR TOUR IN THE SPRING OF 2017 WAS TO THE FABULOUS LOIRE VALLEY.

Known as Le Jardin de France (the Garden France) we enjoyed phenomenal wines and exquisite food, visited spectacular chateaux, and walked in the footsteps of Henry II of England, his wife Eleanor of Acquitane, their son Richard the Lionheart, and Leonardo da Vinci, who is spent his final years in this most beautiful part of La Belle France.

Our FALL 2018 TOUR was to the great food and wine regions of Spain, and what a wonderful time we had!
We experienced Spanish wine, gastronomy, and culture from Cava in Penedes, to the glorious DOCa wines of Priorat, Rioja and Ribera del Duero; from the incredible architecture of Gaudi's masterpiece Sagrada Familia in Barcelona to the magnificent Guggenheim in Bilbao; not to mention the world renowned food of Basque country.  This was a trip to remember!
