Bordeaux, Cognac, and the Dordogne.

We spent a wonderful week of incredible wine, food, Cognac, history and fun in some of the most storied regions of France: tasting the extraordinary wines of Bordeaux's Medoc and St Emilion under the guidance of chef, Bordeaux wine educator and James Beard award winning author Dewey Markham; dining al fresco at St Estephe's Chateau Phelan Segur on the first day of harvest; learning to blend Cognac from House Camus' master blender and bringing home a bottle of our very own proprietary blend home in a gorgeous wooden presentation box; watching a master truffle hunter search out black gold, seeing a truffle cooking demonstration and feasting on a truffle lunch in the heart of the Perigord; viewing the great castles of the Dordogne Valley and touring the chateau owned by Josephine Baker, in her day the most famous entertainer in the world; tasting the delicious wines and brandy of Southwest France; and marveling at some of the oldest cave art in the world What an adventure!
